Sticky Campfire Bangers and Garlic Potato Foils

Another recipe that means zero washing up! You are going to love the simplicity, yet deliciousness of these phenomenal Sticky Campfire Bangers and Garlic Potato Foils!

With only a few ingredients, this one really is super easy to throw together, but its taste really packs a punch.

Amounts in all of our recipes are approximate (we are in a field after all!) - we are a family of four with healthy appetites and this does us fine. We avoid offering definitive cooking times as it all depends on your fuel source and how intense the flames are - just double check that everything is cooked through and piping hot!

Cook how suits you in the environment you are in - campfire, camping stove or oven. It will be delicious either way! We prefer the smokiness that open flames adds here at Camping Scamping HQ.

Ingredients:

Good quality chipolatas

New potatoes, cut to bitesize pieces

Onion, sliced

Garlic gloves, whole and squashed

Dried rosemary

Hoisin sauce

Salt and pepper

Fresh parsley

Oil

Foil

Method:

  1. Put the potatoes, garlic, rosemary, salt and pepper and oil into a bowl and mix.

  2. Place the coated potatoes into a double layer of foil - bring the edges up and fold over the top into a pouch.

  3. Cook until crispy and soft - over embers should be about 40ish mins, but just keep having a peak!

  4. Add some parsley or other fresh herbs of your choice to serve.

  5. Meanwhile, place a few slices of onion onto another sheet of foil, then place some sausages on, followed by a splash of hoisin sauce.

  6. Like before, bring the edges up and fold over the top into a pouch.

  7. Repeat for as many people you have to cook for!

  8. Place over the embers with the potatoes. As ever, timings are vague but probably about 30 minutes should be about right.

  9. Open the sticky sausage foil, spoon in some potatoes and serve!

You can mix this up with different sauces on your bangers - teriyaki, honey or sweet chilli work just as well. Why not take the 'no washing up' to extremes and use your fingers to wolf down these bite sized lovelies!

So there you have it, Sticky Campfire Bangers and Garlic Potato Foils - simple, delicious and did I mention no washing up?

Hurrah, hurrah and, thrice, hurrah!
