Kent Campsites Hitlist

Updated: Mar 17

Fancy a staycation this year? What better way to spend it than camping and exploring the Garden of England! We have done all the hard work for you this summer and picked our top five for this Kent Campsites Hitlist. We've not included Bedgebury Camping as we have done a full review before (see here), but it is definitely one of our favourites!

We have no skin in the game here, no affiliates, no payments, just places that we would love to visit. We'll obviously do full reviews of any we do get to - watch this space! Keep reading for our Kent Campsites Hitlist...

Coxhill Camping, Coxhill, Shepherdswell, Kent

A scenic seven acre Campsite located on a working arable Farm in Coxhill, Shepherdswell, Kent. Perfectly positioned in the gorgeous Kent Countryside, set in 10 acres of private woodland and surrounded by fields and trees as far as your eyes can see! Lots of walks from the campsite mean that you can really be off grid and car free once you have put the tent up!

Kingsdown Camping, Deal, Kent

Set on top of The White Cliffs – one of the world’s greatest natural landmarks, this campsite is perfectly located to enjoy panoramic sea views and has easy walking (5 minutes!) access to the beach, golf course, village shops and three popular pubs.

Palace Farm Campsite, Doddington, Kent

Holders of a Green Tourism Gold Award, Palace Farm Campsite is such a lovely, small and quiet campsite set in a gorgeous green field and is the perfect base for a Kent camping holiday. There are also bell tents and a hostel on site too and The Chequers Inn is just a short walk away. The North Kent Marshes are a short bike ride away, which is fantastic for bird and seal watching!

The Sunnyfield, Canterbury, Kent

Just gorgeous! Set in 8 acres of wildflower meadows in the stunning Kent countryside, this idyllic and beautiful campsite is just perfect! There is a combination of grass pitches and glamping tents available, but other facilities are outstanding - homemade wood fired pizzas look delicious, a coffee shop and what more could you want after a night under the canvas than for an onsite massage and beauty therapist to help you relax and rebalance body and mind. It is named the Sunnyfield because they are blessed with sunlight all day long and no light pollution in the night sky. We really love the idea that the camping field is car free, so you grab a wheelbarrow to get all your kit to your pitch. Perfection! We are definitely going to be staying here soon - watch this space for a full review.

Woolton Farm, Bekesbourne, Kent

Fancy something a bit different and perhaps a little more grown up (although children are welcome!)? Located at the heart of Woolton Farm is "The Barn", a beautiful thatched building dating back to the 14th century.  Set in a massive fruit garden and with an outdoor kitchen, The Barn is the hub of camping (and glamping) at Woolton Farm and is home to a craft drinks shop and bar and hosts many music, food and drinks events throughout April to September. If that isn't enough to make this camping experience a little different, Woolton Farm offer wine and cider tours or tasting flights of their award winning vineyard and orchard produce. Sounds idyllic and definitely on our hit list for this summer.
